Toledo man stabbed and killed in Lima

LIMA, Ohio (WTVG) - A Toledo man is dead after an early-morning stabbing in Lima.

According to the Lima police department, the incident happened at the Lima West Apartments on North Cole Street just before 2:00 am Monday.

When officers arrived they found 27-year-old Stephan D. Kimble-Childress not breathing.

Authorities say Kimble-Childress, who is from Toledo, died at a Lima-area hospital.

Investigators determined Kimble-Childress was stabbed during a domestic dispute.

Police say the couple's argument turned physical and that's when Kimble-Childress' girlfriend Autumn Spears, 19, stabbed him with a kitchen knife. Police later arrested Spears for suspicion of murder.

An autopsy performed by the Lucas County Coroner confirmed Kimble-Childress died from stab wounds. The investigation is ongoing.
