TOLEDO, Ohio (13abc Action News) - Toledo Public Schools gained voter approval for its request for renewal of an operating levy. With nearly 90% of the precincts reporting, 69% voted in favor of the levy with about 31% opposed.
Toledo public schools admit they still have work to do. But they say the levy was essential to continue improvement.
The levy will continue cost the owner of a $100,000 home approximately $178 annually. The levy will raise about $13 million annual and be used for operating expenses.
