LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) - Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped a driver for speeding in I-280 on Sept. 3, 2017. Troopers talked with the people inside the 2017 Ford Explorer and noticed the smell of raw marijuana.
Authorities then searched the vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana inside. They also discovered a device used to remove security tags and nearly 400 pieces of clothing. According to the state patrol, the stolen clothing has a street value of around $10,000.
The driver, Shamica Swanson, 39, and passenger, Tony Mills, 35, both from Cleveland were incarcerated in the Lucas County Jail and charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony.
