LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) - Four suspects from southern Ohio face felony charges after a traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike.
Troopers pulled over a 2013 Nissan Altima for speeding on I-475 in Lucas County on Saturday. Authorities say they observed criminal indicators. A drug-sniffing canine from Waterville Twp. alerted to the vehicle.
Troopers executed a probable cause search and found 10 pounds of marijuana edibles, 73 grams of hashish oil and 70 grams of solid hashish in the trunk. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the drugs have a street value of about $30,350.
The suspects, Amanda Meyer, 32, Stephanie Kidwell, 36, Deron Elliot, 33, and Ian Overton, 32, all from Cincinnati, were charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana, solid and liquid hashish, all third-degree felonies. The individuals were incarcerated in the Lucas County Jail.
