Watch out for high water on area roads

By  |

Heavy rain over the last two days has caused some problems on area roads. Heaviest of the rain, near 3" fell in the southern counties.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says they experienced numerous areas of high water across the roadways last night. Employees with the County Garage and Township Trustees have been putting up high water signs. However, there are not enough water signs to place in every area with high water. So instead, the Putnam County is advising drivers to turn around when they see a flooded road.

Do not drive through the waters even if it seems shallow enough to travel across.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Offices is issued high water warnings for the following streets this morning
