Cold blast could last for weeks

TOLEDO, OH (13abc Action News) – The big blast of cold weather is nearly here, and the long range weather maps don't show relief in the near future. Highs are expected to be near 60-degrees on Monday. The wind chill will drop to the teens by Tuesday evening. Highs the rest of the week will be in the upper 20s to around freezing. Overnight lows will be around 20-degrees. However, the long range weather maps are showing the potential for highs in the teens to mid-20s next week. The current weather pattern is also expected to stick around through Christmas and possibly through New Year's Day. While autumn had temperatures well above average, 2017 will end on the cold side.
