PEMBERVILLE, Ohio (13abc Action News) - Most people have their minds on the 2016 Olympics around the corner in Rio de Janiero.
Not A.J. Digby.
The 2016 Otsego High School graduate recently qualified to run in the 200 and 400-meter dash events at the 2016 Paralympic Games - also in Rio. Except, Digby and other Paralympic athletes still have more than a month until the gun fires on their events.
This sets up a new training season for Digby after he qualified at the U.S. Paralympic Trials to run in Rio. Digby and his coach D.J. Michel have time to continue with hard workouts on the track and in the weight room at Eastwood High School where Michel teaches and coaches.
Digby says his goal in Rio is to set a personal record.
