PETERSBURG, Mich. (WTVG) - Summerfield senior Emma LaRocca has 20 or more points in four of her last five games. The guard is productive but her coach says she does not like to run.

"It's not that I don't like it, it's just been hard for me," LaRocca said. "But I've grown to like it and get used to it. And don't tell him this, but I actually do enjoy it sometimes and it's fun to just know you're working and it's just part of the game."

LaRocca is efficient with her feet on the court. Her shot on the court, is a bit non-traditional.

"It does work," LaRocca said. "Having a lot of different coaches growing up and not having one person teaching you this is how you shoot.

"I've always just you know adapted to how every coach has told me to shoot and I've changed my shot three or four times and now I think it's just a combination of all of those."

Second-year Summerfield head coach Mickey Moody appreciates the efforts of LaRocca and her teammates this season.

"(Emma) just has so much confidence in her game right now," Moody said. "That's just taking over for her. She used to be negative but right now she's so positive, she's so upbeat and she can't wait to, she can't wait to get on and get the next challenge in the game."
