TOLEDO - She’s arguably the quickest player in our region and was named 13abc's First Team All-Basketball Friday in back to back seasons.

Wednesday night Notre Dame Academy's Bre Hampton-Bey decided to verbally commit to play her college hoops at the University of Massachusetts (UMass).

Earlier in the recruiting search she has narrowed her college choices down to Kent State, Seton Hall, Wake Forest, and UMass after averaging 14.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. She was named the Three Rivers Athletic Conference Player of the Year, the AP Northwest Ohio District Player of the Year and first team All-District by the Coaches. Hampton-Bey was also named First Team All-Basketball Friday in 2016.
