Nelly Korda leads after three rounds at the Marathon Classic

SYLVANIA, Ohio (WTVG) - Nelly Korda made her LPGA debut this season and seven months into her career, she may walk away with her first tournament victory.

Korda shot 5-under-par in the third round here at Highland Meadows Golf Club, giving the rookie a three round score of 15-under-par. Korda birdied four of her first seven holes in the third round and closed with two birdies on holes 17 and 18.

In-Kyung Kim is in second place with a three round score of 13-under-par.

The Marathon Classic has a six-way tie for third place heading into Sunday's final round. That log jam includes Sung Hyun Park - an LPGA rookie who won last weekend's USGA U.S. Women's Open in New Jersey.

Toledo native Stacy Lewis shot a third round 71 as she is in a seven-way tie for 48th place. Lewis is two-under-par going into Sunday's final round.

Defending Marathon Classic champion Lydia Ko shot a third round 65, as she now sits at seven-under-par. Ko's six-under-par is tied for one of the best rounds of the day with American Sandra Changkija. Changkija is part of the group tied for third.
