Red Wings Make Roster Moves

The Detroit Red Wings today assigned defensemen Filip Hronek and Robbie Russo to the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins and released center Corey Elkins from his professional tryout. Additionally, Detroit recalled defenseman Dan Renouf from the Griffins and signed right wing Dominik Shine to a tryout.

The Red Wings’ roster currently totals 45 players: 26 forwards, 14 defensemen and five goaltenders. After hosting the Maple Leafs last night, the Red Wings will finish their preseason schedule tonight when they visit Toronto at 7:00 p.m.
