St. John's Jesuit basketball returns to the regional final

TOLEDO (WTVG) - St. John's Jesuit shot 53 percent in the second half and still had to hold off a late drive by Elyria to win and advance to Saturday's OHSAA Division I Regional Final at the University of Akron.

The Titans beat the Pioneers, 48-47.

Vincent Williams led the way for St. John's Jesuit with 19 points on 7-11 shooting from the field.

Elyria scored 16 points off 11 Titan turnovers.

St. John's Jesuit plays the winner of the other regional semifinal game - which takes place Thursday evening at James A. Rhodes Arena in Akron - between Massillon Jackson and Medina.
