TOLEDO, Ohio (13abc Action News) - Volunteers and employees of the Toledo Zoo are pounding the pavement and going door-to-door to drum up support for issue 11.

They were in point place yesterday asking voters to approve a $1 million, 10-year capital improvement levy that will in part, help pay for new year-round attractions.

"We’ve done a lot of great things in the last few years,” said Jeff Sailer, executive director of the Toledo Zoo. “I think people were really happy with the renovation of the aquarium and i think it showed, we've had over a million visitors last year.”

The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Toledo Area Small Business Association support issue 11.
