Suzie Miller and Lizann Anderson are cooking up big dreams for their business.  Lizann Anderson says, "I would love to be the Paul Newman of cookies."

The two moms are the owners of Among Friends Healthy Baking Mixes.  "It began over a cup of coffee and with some trial runs with the cookies."

They sell cookie and other sweet treat baking mixes, but their goodies are also good for you.  "For me it was kind of a gospel of nutrition. I wanted to get more nutritious baked goods out there for the public."

Suzie Miller says, "We have no white flour and all our mixes are made with organic whole grains. We have flax seed in all of our mixes and they're much lower in sugar."

For the home cook, baking with these organic mixes is a piece of cake.     One egg, one stick of butter and you're good to go.   "We have very little sugar, we have organic whole wheat pastry flower, pure vanilla powder, which you don't see very often. You always have extract."

"We wanted to have healthy snacks for our kids that actually tasted good."

It may be that Among Friends Healthy Bake Mixes have the right ingredients to be the next Betty Crocker.     The products are currently on store shelves throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan with more locations on the way.
