Multi-award winning journalist Elizabeth Choi joined the 13 ABC Action News team in October 2009 as a general assignment reporter. A Hoosier native, she is thrilled to make Toledo her home.
Prior to coming to the Glass City, Elizabeth got her start in the business at WHIZ-TV in Zanesville, Ohio. During her 2-½ year tenure at WHIZ, Elizabeth wore many hats from radio anchor, producer, reporter and eventually weeknight anchor. While in Zanesville, the Associated Press awarded Elizabeth Best Anchor, Best Reporter and Best Broadcast Writing for 2009.
Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ball State University. In her free time she loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys cooking, listening to music&volume turned up, and being active, although she dreads the gym. Elizabeth is also excited about getting involved with the community and working specifically with underprivileged children and teens, as she feels it's her duty to use her platform to inspire and influence.
