Christine Long joined 13 ABC Action News as a general assignment reporter in January of 2008.
Previously, she worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at WTVO Channel 17 News/WQRF Fox39 in Rockford, Illinois, for two years.
Before she worked on-air, Christine was a field producer at WLS-TV in Chicago, where she was a member of the team that won a Chicago Emmy Award for breaking news coverage of the December 2005 fatal accident at Midway Airport.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Political Science from Boston University's College of Communication. During her four years at BU, Christine worked as a Washington correspondent for WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Maryland, and New Hampshire Public Television. Christine interned as a field producer for the ABC News Washington Bureau and NewsOne, ABC's affiliate service. She also interned at WFXT-TV, Fox25, in Boston, and for the first disabilities reporter in the country at WLS-TV.
Christine grew up in Chicago and loves to cook, read, play basketball and volleyball, and spend time with her family. Christine resides in Sylvania.
