I am happy to be working in my hometown! It's great to get my start in a place I've always called home. I joined 13ABC back February 2007 as the weekend assignment editor, moved on to reporting and in December '09 joined the 13ABC weekend morning anchor team. You can catch me both weekday and weekend mornings bright and early.
I grew up in South Toledo while making my way through the Toledo Public School system. I'm proud to be a Bowsher High School graduate! For college, I headed south to Bowling Green State University. I graduated in May 2007, with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in political science.
While in college, I had the chance to work with tons of talented people at the campus news station BG24News. I worked behind the scenes as a producer and on-camera as a reporter and anchor. I interned at WBGU, the local PBS station, as a public relations assistant. It later became my first paid journalism job, where I learned how many people it really takes to run a successful news station.
Now I consider myself one of the lucky. I am pursuing my career goals at a station I watched as a kid, wishing I could someday work here and now I do! Each day is unpredictable and that's what I love about working in news.
