I grew up in South Toledo while making my way through the Toledo Public School system. I'm proud to be a Bowsher High School graduate! For college, I headed south to Bowling Green State University. I graduated in May 2007, with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in political science.
While in college, I had the chance to work with tons of talented people at the campus news station BG24News. I worked behind the scenes as a producer and on-camera as a reporter and anchor. I interned at WBGU, the local PBS station, as a public relations assistant. It later became my first paid journalism job, where I learned how many people it really takes to run a successful news station.
Now I consider myself one of the lucky. I am pursuing my career goals at a station I watched as a kid, wishing I could someday work here and now I do! Each day is unpredictable and that's what I love about working in news.
In my free time I love being outside at the park, spending time with my friends and family, and traveling as much as possible. I love meeting new people and telling your stories. If you have any ideas or just want to say hi, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
