Two charged with murder of Oregon man found in creek

Two people are behind bars at the Lucas County Jail charged in the murder of the Oregon man found stabbed to death in a creek on Tuesday.

One of the suspects is the victim's wife 19-year-old Jennelle McGuire.  The second suspect is 20-year-old Shawn Brazeal, believed to be the wife's boyfriend.

The body of 35-year-old Devin McGuire was found in a creek off of Stadium Road near Willaker on Tuesday.  The coroner says he was stabbed a dozen times and his body had been there for at least three days.

Wednesday night, state BCI investigators searched the home on Plympton Circle in Oregon that the husband and wife shared for the past six months.

The landlord Joyce Hartford watched in disbelief as investigators sorted through Devin and Jennelle Maguire's belongings.

13-ABC's Christine Long asks Hartford, "Do you think she would kill her husband?"  Hartford says, "No, I would've never guessed it.  He seemed like a very nice gentleman.  Her, I never really met her at first until she came over to pay the rent.  She was young.  Didn't seem like there was anything wrong with her. Just very immature is what I could tell."

The two suspects are expected to be arraigned in court on Thursday.
