Saturday mornings on 13abcEach week on "Happy Tails!," furry friends from the Toledo Area Humane Society stop by our studio in search of their "Forever Homes."
All dogs and puppies from the Humane Society come with their age appropriate vaccines. They are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested (6 months and older). They also receive heartworm prevention, a dose of flea prevention, and a dose of de-wormer. They are also all microchipped.
The Toledo Area Humane Society is in urgent need of foster homes!
The Toledo Area Humane Society is in need of several temporary foster parents who are willing to give some extra special love to a few injured and neglected animals.
Billie - Gray and White Domestic Long Hair – 9 year old, female ID# A046906
Billie is a 9-year-old female gray and white domestic long hair. A TAHS cruelty officer brought her into the Toledo Area Humane Society after her owner was evicted from his apartment. Billie's beautiful long hair was badly matted and she had to be shaved down to make her more comfortable. Billie is a shy and gentle little cat. She loves to be petted and doesn't mind being held. She hasn't felt comfortable enough in her new environment to really relax and play with any of the toys she has been given. She will usually choose a quiet out of the way place where she can sit and watch her surroundings. Billie is really sweet and will build a strong bond with the right person. She may be the most comfortable in a home without dogs or small active children but if your children are calmer and gentle with animals then Billie won't mind having them for a companion.
Archie Gray Dutch – 4 month old, male - ID# A047061
TAHS currently has 5 rabbits available for adoption, including a couple of younger rabbits like Archie, a 4 month old gray dutch rabbit. Archie was brought into TAHS because his owner didn't realize the amount of time you need to spend taking care of a rabbit. Although rabbits are easier to care for than dogs or cats, they still require plenty of attention, proper cleaning, and good health and diet practices. Rabbits can make nice pets but as with any animal, it is important to read up on the care they will require before bringing one home.
(there are also 3 Guinea Pigs avaiable for adoption)
Billy and all of the adoptable rabbits are part of the "Warm Your Heart" promotion.
