LUCAS/WOOD COUNTY 

1. Interstate 75/475: Interchange Upgrade
Lucas County (281-10):
 Upgrade the I-75/I-475 interchange, widen I-475 from Rushland Avenue to I-75 and construct a new interchange at ProMedica Parkway.

INTERSTATE RESTRICTIONS
Through 2012, the right lane in both directions of I-475, between Monroe Street and I-75, is restricted. Additional lane restrictions are possible, overnight from 7pm to 6am, on I-475 in both directions from Rushland Avenue to I-75 and on I-75 in both directions from Detroit Avenue to Berdan Avenue.

RAMP RESTRICTIONS 

  • Through July, the ramp from westbound I-475 to Douglas Road is closed. Detour: Secor Road (Exit 17); Monroe Street.
  • Through August, the ramp from Douglas Road to eastbound I-475 is closed.  Detour: Monroe Street; Secor Road; I-475.
  • Through 2013, the ramp from Monroe Street to eastbound I-475 is closed. Detour: Secor Road; eastbound I-475.
  • Through 2013, the ramp from North Cove Boulevard to westbound I-475 is closed. Detour: Central Avenue; Upton Avenue; westbound I-475.
  • The ramp from Upton/Kelley Avenue to eastbound I-475 is permanently closed. Detour: Central Avenue; Jeep Parkway; I-75. The ramp from ProMedica Parkway to eastbound I-475 is scheduled to open by fall 2012.
  • Through 2013, the ramp from eastbound I-475 to Jeep Parkway is closed. Detour: northbound I-75; Berdan Avenue (Exit 205B); Jeep Parkway.

CITY STREET TRAFFIC

  • Through 2013, Upton Avenue, between Georgia Avenue and Central Avenue and Central Avenue, between Upton Avenue and Jackman Road are reduced to one lane in each direction. 
  • Through September, westbound Central Avenue, between Upton Avenue and Monroe Street is reduced to one lane. 
  • Through 2013, Sherbrooke Road, between Groveland Road and Marlow Road, is closed. Detour: Monroe Street; Douglas Road; Berdan Avenue.
  • Through 2012, Giant Street, between Upton Avenue and Bigelow Street, is closed for sewer relocation. Suggested alternate route: Jackman Road.

Project complete: Fall 2013. All work is weather permitting.

2. Interstate 75:  Resurfacing & Slope Repair
Wood County (590-11):
 Through September, expect lane and ramp restrictions in both directions of I-75, between South Avenue and I-75/475 split in Perrysburg.  I-75 may be reduced to one lane overnight from 8pm until 6am.  Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting.    

3. Interstate 475: Maumee River Bridge
Lucas & Wood Counties (90-11):
 Effective tonight, through July, overnight, 7pm until 6am, and daytime, 9am until 3pm, lane restrictions are possible in both directions I-475, between SR 65 and U.S. 24, for paving, bridge painting and barrier wall installation. 

On Thursday July 5 through Saturday, July 7, overnight 7pm until 6am, short-term intermittent ramp closures are possible on the ramps to/from US 24 to/from I-475 for paving.  Traffic will be maintained by law enforcement.

Project complete: November.  All work is weather permitting.

4. Interstate 475/U.S. 23 Resurfacing & Bridge Work *UPDATE*
Lucas County (254-12):
Beginning Thursday, July 5, through Saturday, July 7, Overnight from 9pm until 6am, the ramp from westbound I-475 to southbound I-475/US 23 will be closed for bridge work.  Detour: northbound US 23; Monroe Street (Exit 234)/ Additionally, at this time northbound US 23, from Central Avenue to Monroe Street will be reduced to one lane for the installation of traffic control devices.

Beginning Monday, July 9, through October, northbound US 23, between I-475 and Sylvania Avenue, will be reduced to one lane for bridge work. 

On Sunday July 15, through November, overnight 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible in both directions of I-475/US 23, from Central Avenue to Ohio/Michigan border for resurfacing. 

Overnight lane restrictions in August on I-475 at the Ohio Turnpike will be announced.  Project complete: November.  All work is weather permitting.

5. Interstate 280: Bridge Painting
Wood County (613-11): Through August, I-280 in both directions, between Woodville Road and SR 795, is reduced to one lane for bridge painting. Project complete: August.  All work is weather permitting.

6. U.S. 23: Bridge Work *NEW PROJECT* *CLOSURE STARTS TUESDAY*
Wood County (637-11):
Beginning Tuesday, July 10, through July, U.S. 23, between SR 105 and U.S. 20 will be closed for bridge work. Detour: SR 105; US 20. Additionally, at this time, SR 582 at SR 105 will be closed.  Detour: Pemberville Road; US 20.   Project complete September. All work is weather permitting.

7. U.S. Route 20A: Bridge Deck Replacement
Lucas County (37-12):
 Through September, U.S. 20A, between Briarfield Boulevard and Spartan Drive is closed for bridge replacement.  Detour: Briarfield Boulevard; Salilsbury Road/Dussel Drive; Ford Street.   Nighttime lane restrictions are possible on I-475 between U.S. 24 and Salisbury Road.  Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting.

8. U.S. Route: 24: Barrier Wall Installation
Lucas County (213-12):
  Through August, both directions of US 24, between Fallen Timbers Lane and Monclova Road, is reduced to one lane for barrier wall installation.  Project Complete: September. All work is weather permitting.

9. U.S. Route 24: New Highway Construction
Lucas & Henry Counties (8015-09 & 201-09): Construction of a newly aligned four-lane divided highway from U.S. 24 Waterville to Napoleon. Motorists may encounter construction vehicles working near the new alignment throughout the project. Through September, U.S. 24, between Dutch Road and Fallen Timbers Lane, is reduced to one lane in both directions.   Through September, US 24, between Henry TR-10 and SR 424 will be reduced to one lane in both directions for tie-in work.

The following roads are closed for overpass construction:

  • Through summer, Providence-Neapolis-Swanton Road, between Box Road and U.S. 24. Detour: Neowash Road; Jeffers Road; U.S. 24.
  • Through summer, Patton Road, between Providence-Neapolis-Swanton Road and Manore Road. Detour: U.S. 24; Jeffers Road.
  • Through July, TR 10 at U.S. 24. Detour for SR 424 to eastbound U.S. 24: southbound U.S. 6; eastbound SR 110; northbound SR 109; U.S. 24. Detour for westbound U.S. 24 to TR 10/SR 424: Westbound U.S. 24; westbound U.S. 6/24; Industrial Drive (Exit #41); eastbound U.S. 6/24 to the SR 424 interchange. 

The entire new U.S. 24 alignment, from Waterville to Napoleon, is scheduled to open to traffic in September 2012.  Project complete: May 2013. All work is weather permitting.

10. State Route 295: Resurfacing & Bridge Repair *CLOSURE STARTS MONDAY*
Lucas County (107-12): Beginning, Monday, July 9, through July, SR 295, between Central Avenue and Bancroft Street will be closed for bridge repair.  Detour: Central Avenue (US 20); SR 64; Airport Highway (US 20A/SR2).  Lane restrictions on SR 295, between Airport Highway (SR 2) and Sylvania Avenue for resurfacing will be announced.  Project Complete: November. All work is weather permitting.

11. U.S. Route 20: Signal Upgrade
Wood County (94-12): Through July, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on U.S. 20 at Simmons Road for traffic signal upgrade.  Additional signal work will be announced.  Project Complete: August.  All work is weather permitting.

12.  State Route 18: New Highway Construction
Wood County (199-12):
  Dewyville Road, between Mitchell Road and North Baltimore Road and Hough Road, between Belmore Road and SR 18 are permanently closed for construction of the new alignment.  Local access is maintained.  Project complete: December.  All work is weather permitting. 

13. State Route 25: BG N. Main Street Widening Project
Wood County (136-11):
Through June of 2013, N. Main Street (SR 25), between Dill Street and Newton Road, is two lanes in both directions.

Poe Road, from Prospect Street to Main Street is one lane in each direction. 

Through July, Poe Road from Main Street to Grove Street is closed for utility and intersection work.  Detour: North College Drive; Newton Road; Fairview Avenue.

Access to all businesses will be maintained. Project complete: August 2013. All work is weather permitting.

14. State Route 25: Bridge Deck Replacement & Slope Repair
Wood County (344-12):  Through August, the Cygnet Road (SR 25) bridge over I-75, between Insley Road and Grant Road, is closed for bridge deck replacement and slope repair.  Southbound detour: I-75; SR 18.  Northbound detour: I-75 North; US 6 West; I-75 South.  At this time, nighttime intermittent lane restrictions are possible on I-75 at Cygnet Road.  All ramps will remain open during construction.  Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting

15. State Route 64: Slope Repair *NEW PROJECT*
Wood County (7003-12): Beginning Monday, July 16, through September, SR 64, between Kind Road and Ovitt Road will be closed for slope repair.  Detour: SR 582; SR 65. Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting.

16. State Route 795: Resurfacing & Bridge Work
Wood County (637-11):
 Through August, SR 795 between Fostoria Road and Pemberville Road is closed for bridge repair.  Detour: I-280; SR 51.  Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting. 

17. State Route 795: Resurfacing *UPDATE*
Wood County (638-11):
  Through July, shoulder restrictions are possible on SR 795, between I-75 and I-280 for resurfacing.  Project complete: August.  All work is weather permitting.   

18. State Route 281: Resurfacing & Bridge Work
Wood County (637-11): 
Through July, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 281, between SR 199 and US 6, for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting.

19. State Route 281: Resurfacing and Bridge Work  *CLOSURE BEGIN WEDNESDAY*
Wood County (189-12): Through August, SR 281, between Henry-Wood County Line Road and SR 235 will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.

Beginning Wednesday, July 11, through August, SR 281, between I-75 and Hoffman Road will be closed for bridge repair.  Detour: SR 199; US 6; SR 25.

Beginning Monday, July 16, through August, SR 281, between Albert Lane near Custar and Milton Road, will be closed for bridge work.  Detour: SR 235; SR 18; SR 65.  Project Complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

 

FULTON/HENRY/WILLIAMS COUNTY

20. U.S. Route 20: Resurfacing
Williams County (188-12): Through July, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on US 20 between SR 576 and US 20A for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Project complete: July.  All work is weather permitting.

21. State Route 2: Resurfacing & Bridge Repair
Williams County (265-12):  Through August, SR 2, between CR 1725 & CR 16 will be closed for bridge repair.  Detour: SR 191; US 6; SR 127.  Through August, lane restrictions are possible on SR 2, between TR 15.75 and the SR 34/SR 191 intersection for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting. 

22. State Route 34 & 49: Resurfacing
Williams County (48-12): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 34 between the Ohio/Indiana border and SR 49 and on SR 34 east and west of Bryan for resurfacing.  Additionally at this time, lane restrictions are possible on SR 49, from SR 34 to US 20.  Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Project complete: October.  All work is weather permitting. 

23. State Route 49: Bridge Replacement
Williams County (115-12): 
Through August, SR 49, between Stadium Drive and CR D will be closed for bridge replacement.  Detour: SR 49; SR 34; SR 576; SR 249.  Additionally, at this time, CR-C60 at SR-49 will be closed. Local access will be maintained.  All work is weather permitting.

24. State Route 576: Resurfacing and Bridge Repair *NEW PROJECT*
Williams County (265-12):
Through September, Intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 576, between Brown Rd to U.S. 20 and between CR D and SR 2, for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. On August 1, through August, SR 576 will be closed for sixty days, between SR 107 and US 20, for bridge repair. Detour: SR 107; US 20A; US 20. Project complete: October.  All work is weather permitting.

25. State Route 2: Resurfacing
Fulton County (126-12):
Beginning Friday, July 6 through July, lane restrictions are possible on SR 2, from CR E near Archbold, to the Fulton/Williams County border.   Project complete: November.  All work is weather permitting.

26. State Route 109: Resurfacing
Fulton County (246-12):  Through Monday, July 9, SR 109 just north of US 20A will be closed for pavement repair.  Detour: US 20A; SR 108; US 20.  Lane restrictions on SR 109, between US 20A and US 20 will be announced.  Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting.  Project complete: September.

27. State Route 18: Railroad Repair
Henry County:
  Through Friday, July 6, SR 18 at Township Road 15 will be closed for railroad repair.  Detour: SR 108: SR 281.  All work is weather permitting. 

28. State Route 65: Resurfacing *NEW PROJECT*
Henry County (374-12): Beginning Monday, July 9, through September, SR 65 from the Putnam/Henry County Line to SR 110 will have intermittent lane closures for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project Complete: October.

29. State Route 65: Culvert Repair & Resurfacing
Henry County (129-12):
Through July, SR 65 at Coldwater Road in McClure will be closed for culvert repair.  Detour: US 6: SR109: SR 281.  Resurfacing work on SR 65 will be announced.  Project complete: November.  All work is weather permitting.

30. State Route 66: Resurfacing & Culvert Replacement
Henry County (126-12):  Through August, SR 66, between SR 34 and SR 2, will be closed for culvert replacement.  Detour: US 6; SR 191; SR 2.  SR 34 at SR 66 will remain open to through traffic.  Project complete: November.  All work is weather permitting. 

31. State Route 424: Culvert Replacement & Resurfacing
Henry County (591-11):  Through September, lane restrictions are possible on SR 424, between SR 108 and SR 281 for resurfacing.  Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting.

32. Hallett Avenue: Railroad Grade Separation
Fulton & Lucas Counties (1069-10): Through November, Hallett Avenue, between Church Street and Garfield Avenue, is closed for construction of the overpass. Detour: Airport Highway; SR 64; Shaffer Road (CR J). Project complete: Summer 2013. All work is weather permitting.  

 

OTTAWA/SANDUSKY/SENECA COUNTY

33. State Route 163: Culvert Replacement
Ottawa County (309-12):
Through August, SR 163 at SR 269 will be reduced to one lane in both directions for culvert replacement.  Project complete: September.  All work is weather permitting.

34. U.S. Route 6: Pavement Repair
Sandusky County (298-12):
  Beginning Wednesday, July 18 through August, eastbound US 6 at SR 53 will be closed for pavement repair.  Detour: US 23; US 20.   Additionally at this time, Hayes Avenue at SR 53 will be closed. Detour: Brush Street; Napoleon Road.  Project complete:  November.  All work is weather permitting.

35. U.S. Route 20: Pavement Rehabilitation
Sandusky (3003-11): Through November, US 20, between CR 32 and State Street in Fremont is reduced to one lane in both directions for pavement rehabilitation.  Project complete: December.  All work is weather permitting. 

36. State Route 51: Culvert Replacement *NEW PROJECT*
Sandusky (272-12):  Beginning Monday, July 16, SR 51, between US 20 and SR 105, will be reduced to one lane for culvert replacement.  Traffic will be maintained by automated signal. Project complete: October.  All work is weather permitting.

37. State Route 53: Resurfacing
Sandusky County (298-12):
Beginning Monday, July 9 through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 53/US 6 from the Sandusky/Seneca County boarder to US 20 for resurfacing.  Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Project complete:  November.  All work is weather permitting.

38. State Route 101: Culvert Replacement *NEW PROJECT*
Sandusky (272-12):  Beginning Monday, July 23, through September, SR 101, between U.S. 20 and SR 412 will be closed for culvert replacement.  Detour: U.S. 20; SR 510; SR 412. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

39. State Route 590: Culvert Replacement *NEW PROJECT*
Sandusky (272-12):  Beginning Monday, July 23, through September, SR 590, between U.S. 20 and U.S. 6 will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: U.S. 20; SR 53; U.S. 6.  Project complete: October.  All work is weather permitting.

40. U.S Route 23: Culvert Replacement *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Seneca County (340-12):  Beginning Monday, July, 9 through August, US 23, between TR 112 (Center Road) and W. CR 18 will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: US 224; SR 587; SR 18.  Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

41. U.S Route 224: Culvert Replacement *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Seneca County 340-12:  Beginning Monday, July 9, through July, US 224, between US 23 and TR 25 (Reinhart Road), will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: US 23; SR 18; SR 587.  Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.

42. U.S. Route 224: Bridge Repair *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Seneca County (184-12):
Effective Monday, July 9, through July, US 224, between Township Road 101 and CR 7 will be closed for bridge work. Detour: SR 587; SR 18. Project complete: October.  All work is weather permitting.

43. State Route 12:  Resurfacing *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Seneca County (638-11):
Effective Monday, July 9, through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible in both directions of SR-12, between CR-592 and Franklin Street for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.

44. State Route 19: Culvert Replacement *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Seneca County (340-12): Beginning Monday, July 9, through August, SR 19, between TR 106 (Coe Road) and E. TR 8, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: US 224; SR 67. Local access will be maintained. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting

45. State Route 19: Culvert Replacement
Seneca County (16-12):  Through July, SR 19 between SR 101 and SR 228 will be closed for culvert replacement.  Detour: SR 228: SR 101. Project complete: August.  All work is weather permitting.

46. State Route 587: Resurfacing
Seneca County (184-12): Effective Monday, July 30, through September, SR 587, between US 224 and SR 18, will close for resurfacing and bridge work. Detour: US 224; US 23; SR 18. Project complete: October.  All work is weather permitting.

47. State Route 635: Bridge Repair *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Seneca County (134-12): Effective Monday, July 9, through September, SR 635, between Township Road 152 and SR 12 will be closed for bridge work.  Detour: SR 18; US 23; SR 12. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting. 

 

DISTRICT WIDE

48. Various Routes: Guardrail Maintenance
District Wide (496-11): Through December, nightly from 8pm to 6am, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail maintenance. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.

49. Various Routes: Electrical Maintenance
District Wide (572-11): Through December, nightly from 8pm to 6am, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for electrical maintenance. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.

50. Various Routes: Sign Replacement 
District Wide (511-11): Through December, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible district wide for sign replacement.  Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting. 

51. Various Routes: Pavement Marking
District Wide (640-11): Through July, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for pavement marking.  Overnight moving restrictions are possible along various interstate routes in Wood and Lucas counties.  Project complete: July. All work is weather permitting.
