A father is accused of putting a plastic bag over his son's face.
The mother says her newborn could have been killed or could have suffered serious injuries. The baby's mother called the incident disturbing. She told 13abc that she had suspected in the past that her son's father may be abusing the child.
Kevin Clements, 41, is accused of putting a plastic bag over his three and half month old son's face. Clements faced a judge yesterday. He's charged with child endangering
The baby's mother talked today about the incident, but asked us not to show her face. "Never in a million years did I believe he was capable of something like that absolutely did not," said the victim's mother.
It happened in February in the 1400 block of Michigan. The baby's mother says Clements was watching their son while she ran errands.
She says when she came home she was terrified at what she saw. "He leaned over the bed and proceed to put it over my sons face. I leaped across the room jumped on the bed and pushed him off and I said what are you doing and he started to say I'm just playing that's all he kept saying," said the mother.
She says she immediately called the police. According to a court document officers noticed a "fresh bruise on the left side of the victim's face."
The baby is out of the hospital recovering from what the mother calls a horrifying experience. "I feel very fortunate as terrible as it was my heart goes out to parents men and women who aren't able to find out fast enough before something worse happens"

Yingling, 26, was inside the Target on U.S. 250 near Sandusky Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. She was in the changing room, trying on pants. That's when she spotted an I-phone sticking out from underneath a stall. According to police, it was recording her with its camera.
