Toledo Police tell 13abc that there has been an arrest made in the Bricker Avenue fatal shooting Wednesday, May 23.
Plans to renovate the vacant Fiberglas Tower in Downtown Toledo took a step forward on Thursday.
The Toledo City Plan Commission unanimously voted to approve its designation as a local landmark.
The vote goes to Toledo City Council next week. If it goes all the way through, the landmark status would allow the developer to obtain state historic tax credits for the project.
The 28-story, 400-foot Fiberglas Tower on North St. Clair Street has been vacant for years.
The Eyde Company is the property developer out of Michigan. Eyde is in the middle of a reconstruction project.
The plan is to turn the tower into a hotel, retail, and office space.
The developer told the Toledo City Plan Commission that grant money has already been used to clean up the site.
Eyde is now asking for the city to designate the Fiberglas Tower with landmark status.
That would allow the developer to use state tax credits to renovate the tower.
While the city already has three designated historic districts, the tower would be the first locally designated building.
Eyde is also seeking to place the Fiberglas Tower on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance so it may qualify for federal tax credits as well.
The developer is also asking the city to include Levis Square in the landmark status along with the Fiberglas Tower.

Yingling, 26, was inside the Target on U.S. 250 near Sandusky Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. She was in the changing room, trying on pants. That's when she spotted an I-phone sticking out from underneath a stall. According to police, it was recording her with its camera.
