The Tony Award winning musical "Jersey Boys" is live onstage at the Stranahan. "Jersey Boys" is a major musical and a large-scale production. It takes talent, hard work, and more talent to pull it off. Plus, an intense amount of coordination backstage.
When you see "Jersey Boys", you'll notice there's about a dozen men in the cast. But one secret that's revealed during the curtain call, there's three Jersey girls! Ruby Lewis, Kaleigh Cronin, and Natalie Gallo. Between the 3 of them, they play 54 parts! Kaleigh Cronin says "I get to play 17 different parts in this show. It's kind of crazy. "
Of course, each of these actresses has help with the quick changes. But listen to this -- when they're backstage transforming, they're still miced up and singing! "You have to be very careful of, like, velcro ripping at certain times."
So, during "Jersey Boys", both on and off stage, timing is everything. "It can be pretty hectic trying to make your costume changes just because they're so fast and so crazed. but we kind of have it down to a science at this point."
At the end of the night, all the Jersey girls want is for you to say "O What A Night." You can catch the touring production of "Jersey Boys" at the Stranahan now through February 26th.
