Friends and family are remembering a young woman whose life ended in a crash Saturday afternoon. The accident happened on State Route 25 near Reitz Road in Perrysburg Township.
State troopers say a Ford pick-up was heading southbound on SR-25 when the driver hit the right rear side of a Perrysburg plow truck.
Troopers say both the driver of the pickup, 18-year-old Christian Kellerbauer from Whitehouse, and his passenger, 18-year-old Olivia Renee Waller, were trapped inside.
Waller was pronounced dead on scene. Kellerbauer was life-flighted to UTMC. He was last listed in serious condition.
According to Sergeant Nathan Henn, neither teen was wearing a seat belt.
Crews are still trying to figure out what exactly happened.
"From what I've been told so far, the plow truck was in the median," says Sgt. Henn. "We're not sure what led up to the actual impact, if the plow truck failed to yield or if the pickup lost control."
The plow truck driver, Marvin Conner, was not injured.
A memorial fund has been set up for Olivia Waller. Contributions can be made to the Olivia R. Waller Memorial Fund at any Huntington Bank Branch.
