A group of Boy Scouts in
Wood County are braving the elements outside. The Boy
Scouts of Troop 314 in Woodville have to stay outside for 24 hours, and in the
bitter cold, it's not easy.
The wind proved to be
the biggest obstacle. Scouts had to continuously fight to keep their fires
alive.
But the scouts weren't
actually all that worried about the cold though. In fact, most were hoping the
wind chill hit below zero so they could earn their sub-zero patches.
Aside from the campfire,
insulated sleeping bags were the only other option for heat overnight.
