PERRYSBURG, Ohio – Owens Community College men's and women's basketball programs will conclude the regular season home portion of their schedules with games against Lakeland Community College on Wednesday, Feb. 15. The women's team will play Lakeland (11-13, 1-7) at 5:30 p.m., while the Express men will battle the Lakers (18-6, 4-4) beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Both games will be played at the College's Student Health and Activities Center on the Toledo-area Campus. Admission to home games is free.
Coached by Michael Llanas, the Express has amassed an overall record of 23-4 and is 8-1 (second place) in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference regular season standings. Llanas' team is currently on a six-game winning streak and is ranked No. 7 in the most recent NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball poll.
The 2011-12 edition of the men's basketball program has an overall record of 18-9 and a 5-4 mark (fourth place) in the OCCAC. The Express is led by Head Coach David Clarke.
