Mitt Romney campaigns in Monroe

MONROE, Mich. -

The one-time Republican presidential front-runner is now in a race to win his home state. Mitt Romney spoke in Monroe this morning at National Galvanizing. Governor Rick Snyder there and will endorse Mitt Romney.

Romney grew up in Michigan. His father was governor. Today, the former governor of Massachusetts will return to the Great Lakes state. He's expecting to pick up that endorsement before the state's primary on February 28.

Last night Romney rallied in Grand Rapids and talked extensively about the auto industry.

Earlier this week a new poll showed Rick Santorum taking the lead over Mitt Romney in Michigan. Now a new Quinnipiac University poll shows Santorum taking the lead in Ohio. The former Pennsylvania senator has a 36 to 29 percent lead over Mitt Romney. The same poll taken last month had Romney in the lead.
