A Toledo
family's home was damaged in a fire overnight. Firefighters say the flames
broke out on the second floor of the house on the 3500 block of Revere Drive around
midnight.
When crews arrived they found the fire burning
in the back of the home. No one was inside. The owner of the house says he had
space heaters running, but officials aren't sure that's what sparked the blaze.
Toledo Fire Department Battalion Chief David
Hitt says, "The owner said he had some space heaters on the first floor,
but most was on the second floor so we're going to have an investigator look
into it and see what we got."
A neighboring
house had some minor damage but the family was able to safely get it out.

Toledo police say a dead man was found inside a home on Bricker Wednesday afternoon. Police were originally called to the scene after a report of a home invasion.

Federal, state and local law enforcement officials are coming together this afternoon to announce an indictment related to the searches last year to several IHOP restaurants in Northwest Ohio and Indiana.
