A Fremont boy has always dreamed about going to Walt Disney World. His wish is now reality.
9-year old Camden Arriaga enjoys football, math, and playing his pokemon video games like any other kid, but his mother says his rare heart disease prevents him from playing sports.
"If he gets hit in his chest, it could pop his heart, and he could die at anytime," says Christina Arriaga. "That's pretty much why he can't do some of the things other kids can do."
Camden was diagnosed with Marfan's disease at one year old.
The disease is hereditary. Camden's father, Jesse, suffers from the same disease.
They've both gone through multiple surgeries.
The 3rd grader has always dreamed of meeting his favorite Walt Disney characters from Toy Story.
"I Like woody and buzz. I want to ride the rides there and play games," he says.
Now Camden's dream will come true.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
The charity plans to send Camden and his family to Florida.
The foundation grants a wish every 40 minutes and has granted more than 180,000 wishes in the United States. Now Camden's wish is one of them.
The entire Arriaga family will head to Disney in March.
