Rosie O’Donnell Selling Chicago Townhouse, Reportedly Moving Show to New York

So much for Rosie O'Donnell's glamorous residency in the Windy City.
The comedienne/actor/talk show host/activist has decided to relocate "The Rosie Show," her Oprah Winfrey's network program, to her hometown of New York.
That means goodbye to Chicago and the well-appointed townhouse she bought there last year. Rumors started last week when the townhouse went up for sale that it might mean the end of O'Donnell's show. But it appears to be just a change of venue.
O'Donnell's 12-room mansion in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago
is back on the market for $2.5 million, which may or may not include
all the furnishings that O'Donnell acquired with property when she
bought in September 2011 for that price.
Built in 2007, the brick 5-bedroom, 6-bath
house has 6,000 square feet of living space on three levels, which would
have been plenty of space for O'Donnell and her four children. However,
much has changed for the native Long Islander since signing up for a
stint on OWN, making it necessary for her to cast off the urban palace
that has 11-foot ceilings, custom cabinetry and molding, and a
top-of-the-line security system. Additional features include a home
theater, rooftop deck and heated three-car garage.
Reports have it that O'Donnell believes it was a mistake to relocate her show to Oprah's studio.
Other things have changed in O'Donnell's life, too. O'Donnell has since become engaged, meaning that in addition to "The Rosie Show," she has a new partner, Michelle Rounds.
