Identity released in fatal Monclova Twp crash

We now know the identity of a man who died in a head-on crash Friday night in Monclova Township. It happened at Garden and Eber road.

Robert Ulrick, 26, of Grand Rapids was driving south on Eber. Witnesses say he attempted to pass a vehicle and struck an oncoming car head-on.

Ulrick was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gregory Brenneman, 50, was driving the other vehicle and had to be cut free. He was flown by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital and is in serious condition as of Saturday night.

Eber road was closed yesterday evening for two and a half hours.
