I'm based in Washington, DC and I cover Congress and the White House for WJRT-TV Flint, MI; WTVG-TV Toledo, OH; WENY-TV Elmira, NY; and WICU/WSEE Erie, PA. I also cover the Caribbean and Puerto Rico. I created the Washington Bureau along with Lilly Broadcasting back in 2007.
Some of the highlights of my work...
Interviewing Warren Buffett, covering the Indiana Democrats'
walk-out to Illinois, Super Bowl 46 and Peyton Manning, the 2010 and
2011 running of the Indianapolis 500, Butler Men's consecutive Final Four appearances, the Indiana State Fair Collapse, and the tornado damage in Bedford, IN.
Traveling to Denver and St. Paul to cover the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions, as well as the 2004 Republican Convention in NYC. I've covered several 2012 and 2008 presidential candidates on the campaign trail, the Pope's first visit to the United States, President Bush's and Obama's State of the Union Addresses, as well as the 2009 G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh.
Here's where I've worked...
Breaking news reporter and anchor at CBS network affiliate WISH-TV in Indianapolis, IN, evening anchor at CBS WSEE/NBC WICU in Erie, PA, and Washington Bureau Chief at Lilly Broadcasting. I've also worked for Associated Press Television in Washington, DC and spent time at the ABC News bureau in DC as well. I've been at Fox News Channel in New York City and the Today Show in Sydney, Australia. I started my first news internship at NBC 40 in Linwood, NJ and KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia, PA. I'm originally from New Jersey, right outside of Atlantic City.
And this is where I've studied...
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. I attended BU's Sydney, Australia and Washington, DC journalism programs. I've been a Paul Miller Washington Fellow, an NAB Professional Fellow, and a fellow with the International Women's Media Foundation. I've spent the past several years volunteering my time working with journalism students studying at the Boston University Washington Journalism Program.
