Dexter’s Michael C. Hall’s Hal Levitt-Designed Home Hits the Market

Posted: Updated:

You know you've arrived in Hollywood when you've picked up a home designed by Hal Levitt. The famed Los Angeles architect designed spaces for stars ranging from Olivia Newton-John and Dean Martin to Debbie Reynolds and Lionel Ritchie. Jennifer Aniston is currently renting a home designed by Levitt and previously owned a Levitt-designed home.

The latest Levitt creation to hit the market is one that the architect used for his private residence. Built in 1933, the home is like many of his designs, featuring high ceilings, an open floor plan and incorporates the outdoors. And like many of the Levitt homes, it's currently owned by a celebrity.

Michael C. Hall, best known for his role as conflicted serial killer "Dexter" on Showtime's award-winning show of the same name, has called the property home since 2008, when he purchased it for $1.75 million.

Hall has listed the home for $1.995 million with Jeff Kohl and Josh Myler of The Agency.

Situated in the Outpost Estates in Hollywood Hills, Hall's home is typical of homes in the area. Immensely private, the 3,535-square-foot home has four bedrooms, five baths and has been meticulously renovated. Additional features of the home include a downstairs gym with guest room with its own bath, extensive patio space and canyon views.

Prior to his role on "Dexter," Michael C. Hall starred in "Six Feet Under" and was a regular on Broadway. The home sale may be due to his recent divorce to his "Dexter" co-star, Jennifer Carpenter.
