Jamerson Inks With Goshen College

Posted: Updated:

GOSHEN, Ind. -- Jerron Jamerson has decided to continue his basketball career at Goshen College beginning next season after signing a letter of intent.

He was part of one of the biggest turnarounds in men's basketball history at Owens. Following a freshmen year in which the Express finished 10-21 overall, Jamerson helped the Express to a 24-8 record, including a second place finish in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and a runner-up finish in the Region XII District 10 tournament. He averaged six points, 2.6 rebounds and almost three assists per game.

As a freshman, Jamerson averaged 9.2 points per game and was named Honorable Mention All-OCCAC and the team's Most Improved Player.

The 6'3" guard is excited to get the chance to play right away for a winning program at Goshen.

"Their winning tradition plus the ability to contend for a championship right away were big reasons why I chose them," he said. "Their communications program is second to none as well, so that sets me up for my career long term."

Jamerson is a graduate of Washington HS in South Bend, IN, so he will be playing close to home.

Goshen College is a member of the NAIA. They finished 18-13 overall and 8-10 in the Mid-Central College Conference (MCC). Their season ended with a loss in the first round of the MCC postseason tournament.
