Children's free summer day camp kicks off

Feed Lucas County Children kicked off its summer camp today at Knight Academy on Arco Drive.

This year the organization is sponsoring 80 sites and expect to feed 3-7,000 children.

The summer camp is FREE and runs Monday through Thursday from 10 am-3:30pm.

The program ends August 9th.

The Knight Academy features a 10,000 square foot garden that will offer hands on experience planting, growing, and harvesting vegetables.

Fitness and Academics is also a vital part of the program.  It's not too late to sign your children up for the program.
