Farmer spots rotation in Monroe Co.

No tornadoes touched down during Monday's storm, however emergency officials sounded the tornado sirens in Monroe County around 1:30 p.m.

David Bressler knew something was wrong when his chickens suddenly scurried inside the barn.

"We got chickens running around," says Bressler. "They know when something's happening. They all started heading that way."

He couldn't put his finger on what was happening until he looked up at the sky outside his home on Heiss just off of Telegraph Road.

"The wind started picking up and just looked straight up above and just a big long circle, the clouds were just circling and it started to move east somewhat," says Bressler.

Bressler and some of his workers scrambled to secure supplies for his home renovation. Those supplies were flying everywhere.

"We had siding we're putting on the house and we hurried up and put it into boxes," says Bressler.

The rotation never touched ground. The rain and lightning eventually moved through Monroe County leaving behind puddles and some chickens scared to go back outside.
