A Toledo Police sergeant has made his debut on national television. Kevin Braun is a contestant on The Glass House, a brand new reality show on 13abc. The show is a new competition series where the viewer is in charge. Fourteen contestants live together and compete for a quarter of a million dollars. Monday night, officers, family and friends came together for the premiere.
Armine Braun, Kevin's mother says, "It is pretty exciting."
Kevin's father, Tom Braun says, "Very proud, very proud. We can't believe it, it's unbelievable, we never expected something like this."

His daughter Samara Braun says, "I'm nervous, excited, everything all at the same time."
Tom Braun says, "I didn't believe it at first and then he flew all the way out there they told him no and he came home."
Braun says two weeks later, Kevin got a call, he was picked to be a contestant on the show.
Tom Braun says, "I said you are kidding me and back out to LA he went and then he was in from there."
His mother, Armine says, "I think I knew he was going to go places but I don't think I know he was going to go in that direction.."
Danielle Dressel says Kevin worked close with her late husband, Keith Dressel. She says he will be a great representative of Toledo.
Danielle Dressel says, "He is a down home hero just like my husband was. He fights the good fight every day. He is on the streets. He also has that magnetic personality where people just love him."
Kevin has been in L.A. for more than a week, and his only connection to anyone is Twitter. Family, friends and fellow officers were ecstatic as they watched the premiere of "The Glass House."
Armine says, "Seeing your own son on TV is something you never expect. He's an all around good guy we love him and we are proud of him."
