Fremont residents got to take home a piece of
history. Demo crews spent yesterday knocking down the old middle school on Croghan Street.
The school, which was built in 1909, is over
100 years old and some former teachers and students came back to see it go
down.
Teacher Mindy Miller says, "I think
it means a new step, a new chapter in the lives of Fremont students."
That new chapter involves a
state-of-the-art new building, which is on the campus of Fremont Ross
High School. Demolition
and cleanup is supposed to be complete this summer.
