Explosion at national sheriff’s convention

An explosion happened Tuesday night at a sheriff's convention at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. Twenty-two sheriffs from Ohio are at the convention, including Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn.

Sheriff Wasylyshyn says no one was hurt in the explosion.

Homeland Security was called to the scene. Early reports indicate there was a mechanical explosion behind an elevator.

The building was evacuated, and the hotel sustained significant damage.
