TOLEDO, Ohio -
It's being called a mega adoption event. Planned
Pethood is hoping to find new homes for 100 dogs and cats in just two days so
they can take in even more animals in need. The event is this weekend. Some of
the adoption fees will be as low as $5.
Nikki Morey from Planned Pethood says "In
order to get people excited to come out and adopt animals we are offering
reduced prices; but that does not mean we have reduced our expectations. We are
still looking for permanent loving homes so people will still be going through
the same screening process."
The adoption event is this Saturday from
11am to 3pm and Sunday from noon to 3pm. It's being held at the Pet Smart in Spring
Meadows shopping center along Airport
Highway. Cats are $5 and kittens will be $15. The
adoption fee for dogs will range from $5 to $150.
