Residents and business owners in Downtown Toledo learned more about a plan to expand Promenade Park at a public meeting Thursday night.
The plan is set to start next month and involves expanding the park to Summit Street to allow open lawn space and create something for everyone.
Robin Whitney, Commissioner of Engineering Services said, "We're really trying to make it something that people want to go down there, sit there for lunch, or if there's a group of 20; group of 3000 for a concert, we can accommodate all those things in the park."
Organizers say they'd like to build a stage and water feature, but are still looking for funding.
