TOLEDO, Ohio -
The record-breaking heat left people searching for ways to cool off Thursday. Temperatures in Northwest Ohio skyrocketed into triple digits. For some it's not big deal.
Molly Huttner says, "Honestly, I like it when it's hot. I may be a little bit different but I'm enjoying it, I like it a lot."
But others are wishing for some cooler air.
"We've got some construction going on so our house is very hot right now," said Tom Cappellini.
Natalie Dicola works outside, so she's drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Even well into the evening on Thursday as the sun was going down, temperature gauges across the city were still ready close to 100.
Plenty of people took the opportunity to cool off with a sweet treat from Mr. Freeze.
Sophia, Vivian, and Georgia Palko enjoyed the ice cream in the parking lot, after a long day of swimming and gymnastics.
Ten-year-old Sophia doesn't mind the heat. "I like it being hot, but only if you're cooling down in like a pool or something."
It looks like most of Northwest Ohio will need a pool for the next week, when temps will hover around 90 degrees. It's summer and it seems mother nature has no plans to cool down.
