Two Toledo firefighters were taken to the hospital after battling flames at a home on the 1500 block of Palmwood Avenue.
Battalion Chief Gerald Takats says one firefighter suffered heat exhaustion. The other injured his ankle after falling down the stairs of the two-story home. Both are expected to be okay.
The homeowner says she's lived at the address for 12 years. She says she was not there when the fire broke out.
