FINDLAY, Ohio -
I-75 South was a parking
lot for two hours Friday evening for more than ten miles south of Findlay.
Kathleen Hamburger of Toledo was one of those
stuck in traffic.
"I've never been in a traffic jam this
long before. We're not even moving. Everybody is outside standing around their
cars. It's almost as if we don't have any hope.
Sgt. Christopher Kinn of
Ohio Highway Patrol Findlay Post said, "We have a total of eight semis
that have rolled over in Hancock
County."
Ohio Highway Patrol says during the storm,
three semi trucks rolled over on I-75. There are no reported injuries.
"All heavy winds. Most of the semis that
have been rolled over are empty and it seems the winds just caught them and
rolled them over," said Sgt. Kinn.
The accidents were spread out over a
stretch of the highway with no exits for other drivers, so hundreds of cars
simply waited for the tow trucks to clear the semis away.
I-75 finally started moving again around 8:00 pm Friday night.
