    City of Toledo Press Release:City of Toledo Forestry crews worked late into the evening Thursday to clear roadways and driveways blocked by trees and limbs felled by the high winds that accompanied severe thunderstorms.
    Private storm debris will not be collected by city crews, but residents should instead utilize their free quarterly bulky pick-up or take debris to the Hoffman Road Landfill on Saturday, July 7 during the free dump day.  Toledo refuse and recycling customers may schedule a bulky pick-up by contacting Republic Services.

    On Thursday, July 5, 2012, another line of deadly storms ripped through Northwest Ohio, this time affecting our local neighbors. Powerful winds brought down trees, twisted power lines, and broke a transmission
    ISOH/IMPACT is prepared to respond, but needs your donations of money and supplies to help those who have been affected. In addition to monetary donations to assist with the relief effort, immediate needs include bottled water, tarps, flashlights, D-batteries, and portable generators.
TOLEDO, Ohio -

UPDATE: Just over 21,000 Toledo Edison customers in Lucas County are still without power Friday afternoon. 

FROM TOLEDO EDISON: Toledo Edison crews have been working around the clock to restore power to all affected customers as quickly and as safely as possible. We expect the majority of customers to be restored through Saturday, with the remaining areas extending through Monday, provided no additional storm damage occurs. We thank you for your patience, and as always, please remember to treat all downed wires as live and dangerous.

The power company also warns all of us to treat all downed lines as live and dangerous. If you have a downed power line or another hazardous situation call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877)
