Toledo Public Schools EOPA Decision

Posted: Updated:

Toledo Public Schools will not partner with the Economic Opportunity Planning Commission (EOPA) in an application to run Head Start.

According to EOPA's board president-- Toledo Public School leaders decided to not collaborate with the commission.

EOPA has run the county's Head Start program for 40 years.  The organization faced scrutiny after a child was left on a bus. After the incident officials announced it would allow other agencies to compete to run the program.

EOPA's president says he's sad that the two parties could not work together.
