WHO HAS THE BEST PIZZA IN NORTHWEST OHIO? Northwest Ohio will find out on July 27 and 28 The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sylvania Area Joint Recreation District present Pizza Palooza, sponsored by Kistler Ford, at Centennial Terrace, 5773 Centennial Road, Sylvania, Ohio on July 27 and 28. Times for July 27 are 5PM – Midnight and on July 28 – 4PM – Midnight.
Over 12,000 guests are expected to vote for their favorite pizza restaurant in this annual contest that features a people's choice and judge's award. Newcomers Mama Mary's Pizza, Pizza Hut Pizza Papalis of Toledo and PizzAroma will be vying for the best restaurant in Northwest Ohio with previous contenders: Amie's – Mancino's Pizza, Charlie's Pizza, Jet's Pizza, Jo-Jo's Pizzeria, and Vito's Pizza. Additionally, local chefs and business leaders will be judging for bragging rights for the Corporate/Media Trophies. Media and Corporate judging finals and held at Noon on July 27th. Funds raised from the summer event benefit the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sylvania Area Joint Recreation District.
Palooza enthusiasts will enjoy fabulous musical entertainment from The Chris Shutters Band, Johnny Rocker and The Hitman and Boffo on Friday and Mt. Fuji and the Eruptions, Kentucky Chrome and Booyah on Saturday.
Children's activities are sponsored by Over the Rainbow Early Learning Center and will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 PM each day and will feature clowns, face painting and activities from Imagination Station, YMCA/JCC, Kid's Watch, Toni & Guy, Over the Rainbow Early Learning Center and The Bouncy Thing.
Admission tickets are $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 5-12 and children under 5 will be free. Pizza vendors will be selling pizza for $1.50 - $2.00 a slice. Advance Tickets are available at Metamora State Bank, Sylvania Vet, Ace Neighborhood Hardware on Main Street and the Sylvania Area Chamber Office, 5632 N. Main St.
