The sister of a man murdered in Sylvania Township speaks to 13abc Action news. Yesterday detectives released the 911 call in the case. The victim's sister hopes her brothers last dying words will force someone to come forward with information.
Music was 60-year-old Darryl Stipes' life
"He was an opening act for BB King, John Denver, Bill Preston" said the victim's sister Claudia Anger
Stipes was a well-known musician who was shot and killed near his front door last month. His sister is speaking out for the first about that horrible night.
"When I got the call June 21st at 11 at night I just thought it was a heart attack because he had congestive heart failure and cancer. When the doctor told me and my husband Mike he had been shot I felt like I had been shot," said Anger.
Stipes called 9-1-1 the night he was shot.
"I want people to hear it I want it to be out there so if anyone knows anything about this that they can contact the police," said Anger
The call is heartbreaking.
Dispatcher: Darryl what's going on there?

Victim: Yes
Dispatcher: Where's the Person that did this too you?

"I hope you would find it in your heart that you would come forward and help get justice for my brother," said Anger
A brother she says she'll miss for his music and funny personality
"Every time I talked to him on the phone I had to listen to some silly joke of his. He always had a joke to tell me always. My brother was such a good guy he really was and he didn't deserve to die the way he did, " said the victim's sister
