BLISSFIELD, Mich. -

Police in two states are still on the lookout for a Sylvania man considered armed and dangerous. He's accused of shooting and killing two sisters, along with their mother, in what police describe as a domestic dispute. It happened at a home on North Lane in Blissfield, Michigan just before midnight Friday.

Thomas Jack Fritz, 38, of Sylvania, is a suspect in the murders. Authorities believe he is armed and dangerous and are doing everything to find  him.

"A two-count open murder warrant and one count of assault with intent to murder warrant has been issued for his arrest," said Blissfield Police Chief Jane Kelley. "Efforts are being made to apprehend him."

Chief Kelley believes Fritz is responsible for the deaths of his ex-girlfriend, Amy Merrill, 34, and her sister Lisa Gritzmaker, 24. Neighbors say Gritzmaker was 7 to 8 months pregnant.

Their mother, Robin McCowan, who was also shot, is expected to survive her injuries.

Officers arrived at the North Lane home at 11:40 Friday night. All three women were found inside.

Chief Kelley says it all stemmed from a domestic situation between the suspect and his estranged girlfriend Amy.

"We're very saddened here that it would happen, and unfortunately the issues of domestic violence are everywhere, and they would happen here too I suppose," the chief said.

Thomas Jack Fritz is described as a 38-year-old man, about 5' 9'' tall and 186 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen driving a 2002 4-door Honda, described as a burgundy or maroon colored sedan with Ohio license plate: EQP-8075.

If you recognize him or think you've seen the car, you are being asked to call police.
