Romney's first stop today in Northwest Ohio was this morning here in the Glass City for a private luncheon.
Just weeks after President Obama's visits Northwest Ohio, the presumptive Republican nominee comes to town. Mitt Romney will start in Toledo Wednesday morning and then travel to Bowling Green in the afternoon. Much like when President Obama stopped in the area, people are coming down on both sides of the fence.
Pam Schenk says, "I think it is a good idea. It's small town America!"
Although Pam Schenk won't see Romney, she thinks it's great for Bowling Green, a town she believes Romney will carry.
Schenk says, "He needs Ohio votes. Ohio is a swing state usually and he needs the votes here."
But even in GOP-rich Wood County, Christy Smith disagrees.
Smith says, "I couldn't care less, I'm not a big fan of his at all. "He is going to push his own religious views, his views on business. I think he is a fraud."
Schenk says, "He seems like a good guy, I know a lot of people say he has all this money but that's the American way to better yourself and he has done that so more power to him."
Romney will start in Toledo with a private fundraiser and then head to Wood County for what's being called a Victory Town Hall. It's been a busy week for the Wood County Republican Party Chair.
Matthew Reger says, "He is going to be talking to everyone who is interested in hearing about someone who is going to fix the economy. Who has the right answers for fixing the problems that are there right now with our economy with jobs."
Romney's visit comes just two weeks after President Obama stopped in Maumee. Reger says Romney's visit has nothing to do with the Presidents recent trip, it's an effort to reach out to voters.
Reger says, "He knows he can talk to those voters who are the swing voters so I would not say he is following foot steps. He is here leading the way."

If a tornado threatens, get into the basement. If you don't have a basement, a small, interior room in the lowest floor of your home is relatively safe. Avoid rooms with windows. Mobile homes are not safe in a tornado.
